My research deals mainly with the quantum properties of light, especially in the regime of the so-called “continuous variables”, where one is interested in the study of the quantum fluctuations of the electromagnetic field of the light wave (investigating more the wave properties of quantum light than its particle properties).  I have also conducted different research projects about Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPOs), lasers and nonlinear optics.

- Tailoring of quantum fluctuations of light fields, quantum correlations and multi-partite entanglement in the regime of “continuous variables” .

- Study, generation and use of”non-classical states of light”, such as squeezed, correlated and entangled states.

- Experimental and theoretical investigations of the quantum properties of highly multi-mode fields (optical systems with many degrees of freedom).

- Applications to the improvement of the ultimate sensitivity of optical measurements (“quantum metrology”), for example in ultra-accurate space-time positioning. Applications to quantum information processing.

- Quantum properties of optical images; application to the improvement of resolution and sensitivity in images.

- Quantum properties of trains of ultrafast pulses and optical frequency combs; application to ultra-accurate clock synchronization and measurement based quantum computing.

- Experimental and theoretical investigations of the quantum aspects of light-matter interaction in various nonlinear optical devices such as lasers, OPOs and opto-mechanical systems,
