"Nanomechanical and electromechanical systems” - CMD29 - Manchester 21-26/8/22

We are excited to announce the mini-colloquium “Nanomechanical and electromechanical systems” that will be hosted at the 29th General Conference of the Condensed Matter Division of the European Physical Society (EPS), which is organized together with the Institute of Physics (IOP).
The CMD29 is a large international conference covering all aspects of condensed matter physics, and we are striving to give nano- and electromechanics a platform there.

The conference  will be held in *Manchester (UK)* this summer *21-26August 2022*.
Further information is available on the homepage: https://cmd29.iopconfs.org/

Our goal is to bring together experimentalists and theorists working in the area of electromechanical systems, nanomechanical resonators and hybrid mechanical systems with quantum conductors or solid-state qubits.
It aims at gathering researchers on topical activities in this field, including among others: nonlinear dynamics, nonlinear dissipation, thermal and thermoelectrical effects in nanoresonators, noise sensing, nonlinear modes coupling, and quantum nanomechanical and hybrid systems.

The mini-colloquium will consist of a session with 8 invited speakers, plus sessions of contributed talks and poster sessions.

If you or your colleagues/students/postdocs are interested in attending the conference, and if you would like to contribute a talk or a poster, please submit an abstract here: https://cmd29.iopconfs.org/abstractslive
At this link, you will also find the instructions for the abstract submission.

The submission deadline is April 15, 2022. During abstract submission it will be possible to communicate whether you are early career researcher and you can choose the mini-colloquium for your presentation, indicating your preference for oral or poster contribution.

Please note that due to a limited number of slots, some of the oral contributions might be accepted as posters instead.

We look forward to your abstract submission and seeing you in Manchester.
